These risers go on top of the deck, under the baseplate when you drop thru trucks. A lot of trucks, Paris I'm looking at you, have a raised logo on their baseplate. When you drop thru your trucks and tighten them, that logo gets imprinted on the top of the deck, damaging the deck and potentially creating structural damage. These risers prevent that.
